The most important day of the GNG Keeper League season is almost here.
Not the Fantasy Bowl. Not the trade deadline. Not the first week someone rage-drops a player they absolutely should not have dropped.
Draft Day.
The 2026 GNG Keeper League draft is where the season starts taking shape, where bad ideas become official, where managers convince themselves they found value, and where at least one person will immediately regret trusting his rankings.
Now the league needs to decide when the damage begins.
Managers are being asked to vote on the official date and time for the 2026 GNG Keeper League draft. The options are:
- July 26 at 1pm EST.
- August 2 at 1pm EST.
- August 9 at 1pm EST.
- August 16 at 1pm EST.
This vote matters because once the draft time is locked, the countdown begins. Keepers need to be finalized. Draft boards need to be studied. Trade talks need to heat up. And everyone needs enough time to pretend they are not just going to panic by Round 5 anyway.
The goal is simple: pick the date that works best for the league and gives the most managers a fair shot to be present, prepared, and fully responsible for their own terrible decisions.
So check your schedule, check your excuses, and cast your vote.
The 2026 GNG Keeper League draft is coming. Someone is going to leave with a contender. Someone is going to leave with a rebuild. And someone is going to say, “I meant to do that.”

I know that democracy isn't fashionable in some circles these days, so its good to see the GNG finally doing its small part in trying to tip the scales towards democratic principle.
LOL! The GNG is where democracy goes to die.
If we could possibly draft later than 12PM CST that would be great. With me taking care of my Mom she has to eat and take her pills at 12pm for her schedule. We have normally drafted at like 1 or 1:30CST. If we could do that again that would be great. If not, all good, I'll have to figure something out..
And, I'd like to add, it's great to see these league votes and the GNG league evolving and getting more in line with the times and the other 98.9% of fantasy leagues as far as keeper lock dates, Fantasy bowl dates, and draft dates.. Only took almost 30 years.. LOL

Regarding my other post above, any chance we can draft at like 1 or 1:30CST? With my Mom's pill and food schedule I might miss the beginning of the draft and definitely won't be able to make it to the draft party, if there is one, if we start the draft at 12 CST..
