Team Story

eddospagheddo's Pounders drafted like a juggernaut and finished like a doormat. The 2023 startup handed them Bijan Robinson at 1.03, then Cooper Kupp, Saquon Barkley, that year's NFL MVP Lamar Jackson, and Chris Olave across the first five rounds. On paper it was the best roster in the North Side. On the field it went 5-10.

Even a savvy deadline heist could not fix 2023. In Week 10 they flipped James Conner for Raheem Mostert and Kareem Hunt, and Mostert promptly led the league with 21 total touchdowns. It bought nothing. The Pounders landed in the consolation bracket, throttled Herbert the Perverts 128.0-76.0, then lost the seventh-place game to Jameis' Crab Shack 125.2-166.3 and settled for eighth.

2024 was the one year it clicked, and barely. They went 8-7 and grabbed the six seed, their lone winning record and only real playoff berth. It nearly was more: a Week 8 loss to eventual champion Shartnado came by a tenth of a point, 131.7-131.8. In the bracket 1-800-TRADER bounced them 115.7-159.5, thompr took the fifth-place game 119.1-170.1, and 2025 snapped right back to 5-10, outscored by 213 on the season.

The feud is with The Prodigies, division neighbors who have simply owned them, 5-1 across three years and a 773.4-to-829.1 points edge. Two 2024 beatings (131.2-148.0, 126.5-156.8) sit next to the Pounders' single answer, a 107.4-94.4 win in Week 11 of 2025. When the North Side sorts itself out, The Prodigies are usually the ones doing the sorting.

For 2026 the Pounders finally pushed their chips in. At the 2025 deadline they shipped their 2026 and 2027 second-round picks to Big Tex's for DK Metcalf, Jordan Addison, and Jake Ferguson, stacking veteran targets around a young core of TreVeyon Henderson (1.06, 2025) and Luther Burden. The names have always been there. The wins are the part that keeps not showing up.
